Tasted 30 June 2009. 330ml bottle, 4.7% Alc/Vol.
Tried this on tap at Mrs Palmers after the Richmond West Coast Eagles footy game. Adam and I were quite impressed at this full, malty brown ale and proceeded to down a “few” of them.
These notes relate to the just released bottled version. Overall not quite as good as the keg version but still worth trying. Dark brown in colour with a dense off white head. The aromas are malty with pronounced hazelnuts and a slight metallic note. The palate is full, malty sweet, nutty biscuits and very smooth. Hop bitterness is too mild for a better score. Still, it is a good session beer.
