Tasted Tuesday April 21. 330ml bottle, 7.1% Alc/Vol.
A very good Strong English style bitter. Burnished copper colour. The aromas are full on rich toffee malt, grassy hops and strangely ‘beery’. Full sweet malty richness on the palate, toffee, burnt caramel and potent hops. Very mellow, smooth and warming all the same. The alcohol is noticeable but extremely well contained. Carbonation is spot on. Overall a well balanced beer with rich malt character, strong hops and lingering flavours. Not a session beer but I could easily knock off a couple.
